Line-up

The album's third, Turn Back, marked the return to the traditional sextet format of previous albums. It was a stronger, more consistent effort that had a harder edge than Hydra. The more edgy sound of the album was indicative of the maturation of group and included drummer Bobby Kimball's increased virtuosity on drums, and a more confident, mature vocal delivery from singer Joseph Williams.
